Canadian legend Gordon Lightfoot will grace the stage at the St. Clair College Capitol Theatre on Wednesday, Nov. 16.

The 77-year-old continues to perform throughout North America, putting on about 75-80 concerts each year.

He last performed in Chatham at the Capitol in 2012.

Lightfoot has won 15 Juno Awards and been nominated for five Grammy Awards. He was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1986 and the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001.

He was made a Companion of the Order of Canada in 2003 and is also a member of the Order of Ontario.

In 2004, he was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame and in 2012 into the U.S. Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Showtime is 8 p.m. Ticket prices range from $71.50-$141.50, plus handling fee.

There are several perks for holders of premium/VIP seats, which are located in the first five rows of the theatre. These include:

Reserved VIP seat
Early entrance to the theatre
Pre-concert reception with desserts and coffee
Prize draws with emcee
Draws for four pairs of post-show meet-and-greets with Lightfoot
Collectible Gordon Lightfoot tour poster.
The premium/VIP Reception will be held in the Rotary Lounge in the lower level of the theatre starting at 6:30 p.m.

Men of the Deeps tickets available

Tickets are available for Cape Breton's Men of the Deeps, who will perform at the Capitol on Thursday, April 14.

The Men of the Deeps consist of working and retired coal miners from the island. The group was organized in 1966 as part of Cape Breton’s contribution to Canada’s centennial year in 1967.

Songs are gathered from mining communities around the world. Many of the songs are composed by contemporary Cape Breton writers or traditional songs which trace their Celtic roots back to their homeland.

Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets range from $35-$50.
