While I will always love the old standards, I find myself drawn to both his lesser known songs (The Gypsy, All the Lovely Ladies) and newer tunes (Inspiration Lady, Clouds of Loneliness) as well. Across the board, I am confident that the songs he has written in every era have stood and will stand the test of time.
Too bad his love of getting up with the sun and writing has gone away. Then again, from what I understand, the new wife and 4 year old have been replaced with...nothing..an empty house...nothing to push him to write. But I treasure the fact that he's still around at 73, and not retired or...dare I say it..dead.
