Amazing,Dave, I have recently been in touch with my old 1960's Montreal day's pal David Moxey who is now in Melbourne with assorted Lightheads like Mende Joveski,Newsgrouper Peter Treloar, Ron Chidgey with whom we dined on the Southbank in April 2007)
see my recent posting to:-

I know Mr Moxey's son is in BC at the moment so when I saw your posting I hoped that just maybe "my" David had decided to come over.
Anyway unfortunately under your present plans you will not be around at the time of Gord's May Massey Hall concerts the holy grail of the Lightfoot experience despite what DSR believes. Now as far as songs go Gord has settled into a rather limited list of songs in rotation, mostly carefully selected to suit his current vocal range and abilities. Over the last couple of years Shadows has been often played plus from that album as one of his major US hits Carefree Highway and the Watchman often gets an airing. But as far as EOM goes the only song fairly regularly featured is one of my own all time favourites Let It Ride.Whatever you are assured of a splendid concert.
I am personally endeavouring to try to get all Melbourne fans together,(a feat we failed in last April) so when you return now that you have crept out of the woodwork no doubt you can join in. May I suggest thst you arrange a meeting, where you could report to the others there on your North American visit, which sounds to me a great idea.
May I recommend a meeting at the simply splendid
Pelican Pantry "training Cafe" on the Mornington Peninsula at Hastings where Ron and his wife took us in April,
the me and u is hard to find on line but here is a view from inside the cafe:-

alternatively perhaps you and your mate in Milwaukee (though he may never be that famous!!!) could prearrange to attend one of our Friday evening ( 9PM New Time time.. but Saturday morning/afternoon in Melbourne chat sessions). if you can announce it here beforehand then I am sure the egregarious and splendid fellow from Frankton (catmanron ) will come in as well
Have a great trip and enjoy!!
