Default United Artists sale CDs

I just noticed that the 2 CD UA Collection (49 tracks) has gone on sale, and Sunday Concert (just the 11 original tracks, no bonus tracks) has been priced very attractively for some time. You can get all 60 tracks, new CDs, for under $15 (before shipping)! If you don't have these albums, now might be the time get them!

More info at my web site here:

An excellent heads up Val
Whilst basically every serious GL fan has to possess these three albums on CD there are other ways of accomplishing this
Personally I feel that the German import Bear Family Sunday Concert Plus s well worth the extra if you can find it, but then I am biased because the first Gordon Lightfoot song I ever heard , the sadly neglected "Spin Spin" is included thereupon.
whilst $15.00 plus shipping is a good price there is a slightly cheaper option however
I have the fine Canadian 3 CD box set
The original Lightfoot (The United Artists Years)
of which an outfit called Sound City Beaches in Toronto seeme to have an inexhaustable supply
which they regularly offer on ebay for the most reasonable and very very slightly lower "Buy It Now price of
onlyUS $14.93 presumably the same now in Canabucks/Loonies
or a starting price of US $12.93
plus shipping USA: $10.49S&H CANADA: $12.49 S&H INTERNATIONAL: $14.99S&H

for larger scans see attachments below
one such auction started yesterday and runs until the 17th

John, with shipping, that Ebay auction is considerably more expensive than the Amazon alternative.

The U.A.Collection ( 3 CD set) here in Toronto at HMV records is listed at $16.99 Canadian plus 14% tax of $2.38 to total $19.36. It could be priced lower at Wal-Mart.

The Canuck buck is par with U.S. altho our prices here don't reflect it in purchases of books and many other items. Chapters does not allow purchases to be made with U.S. bucks! There is a 30% price difference listed on most books/mags etc..and retailers refuse to lower their prices any amount.

Yes, you can buy the Canadian collection locally (in Toronto) at about the same price as ordering the UA Collection plus Sunday Concert from Amazon, shipping to the US. But most people on here don't have the option of buying these CDs - either the Canadian or US releases - at a local store, much less at a sale price.

Just passing on some info for anyone interested in pricing here in Toronto, and for those who are here locally that can get to HMV or other record stores - before they head out they now have a price point..
Comparison shopping to save a few bucks (u.s. or canuck) is always a good thing!
