Hello Everyone:

I was inspired by Char with her "Gordy Birthday Book" idea, so here it goes:

I need your creative ideas regarding what items to put in a gift basket for Gordy's Band, Barry & Gordy's secretary, Ann.

I thought of purchasing a bottle or two of wine, some "comfort foods" like cheese, crackers, cookies, gift certificates for lunch for the whole band, and a book titled: "Chicken Soup For The Canadian Soul"...

As you can see from my preliminary list, my creative juices have dried up from over-work!....So, I need your help.
Please post ideas no later than this Friday morning (Nov.1).

PS: The gift basket & card will be sent to them from "The Net People"...not from individuals like myself! okay...now, get to typing up some ideas for the basket.

The other three being, I believe, fast food, certian forms of alcohol and southern cooking. But that could just be my prejudices speaking.

OKAY Charrrr....since you INSIST on goading me on every GL website &
message board, I have no choice but to whip up some highly-
entertaining bedtime reading material tonite (or tomorrow) at
lunch....stay tuned! (same time, same "Bat Channel")
signed,

Susan

...wait a minute! wait just one darn minute...I'll just do it NOW!

1)Got out of Taxi at 11:00 am

2)Climbed those "Mt. Everest-like" stairs to EMP with 2 baskets full
of various sundries such as the book I mentioned before, cookies,
stuffed animals--yes, the ringneck loon! & a cute beaver!--wine (I
hope they like the wine, otherwise they'll just have to water their
plants with it)

3)knocked on door.

4)Anne answered & Barry came out of hiding from his office

5)We spoke.

6)They thanked all of us "net people" & Barry told me to let you all
know that when he visits Gordy next time he'll definitely mention the
giftbasket to him.

7)At 11:20/11:30-ish we said our goodbyes

8)No big deal.

This is a website about GORDON LIGHTFOOT. Next time ask your family, friends, co-workers, etc.... People don't come here to read every idiotic question you can force yourself to dream up about any lame topic. sheeezzzzz. But if you MUST - that's what the "Small Talk" section is for.

To everyone else - sorry for the interruption. No wonder why most of the regulars have left. That was inappropriate for her to lay into Char like that.
