Hi everyone,
I haven't posted here in quite a while. I usually only have time to quickly check things out . But I had to de-lurk to thank
Auburn Annie for the link to WFUV which is a local radio station for me since I live in the MetroNY area [Fordham is in NYC.]
I placed the website
under my favorites. I will tune in on Sunday
to listen to the show. I'm wondering if you
realize Sunday, Nov. 17th is Gord's 64th
Birthday?! Maybe that is why they are having
this program. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GORD! So glad
you are feeling better & may be able to enjoy your day a little more.

PS - WFUV is 90.7 on your FM dial for those

in the area.

ColoradoSue - WFUV sometimes archives their shows. Check a few days afterwards. Click on WFUV Archives on the left, then scroll down the list to City Folk Sunday Breakfast and check the dates listed. They have November 10th still live, so perhaps all is not lost

Yes, they have a problem called the Digital Millenium Copyright Act which prevents them from playing, say, a full CD (there's a note somewhere on the site that explains why they had to discontinue the programs they used to do featuring an artist's work that way.) The November 17 2001 "Mixed Bag" show with Pete Fornatel (sp?) which runs about 3 hours features "words and music" by Gord in the last hour - just after Elton John's set. It opens with a 'live' version of "I'll Tag Along" - just Gord and his guitar [great] - and runs an earlier recorded interview with Gord talking about his early years interspersed with his songs. Go to www.wfuv.org, click on "Archives" and scroll down to Pete F's Mixed Bag, then find the November 17 2001 show date.
Enjoy!

Hey! You turned me onto yet ANOTHER great radio station...I'm a big fan/veteran air shifter of Public Radio...thankyou!
I'm listening to the Nov. 17, 2001 show as I write this....PS: I moved the "dial" past the Elton John section & got right onto the Gordy section of the program (Sorry 'bout that Elton!).
