Default Bozeman Show- Nov 19th.

Went and saw Gordy last night in Bozeman Montana. It was a great show however his voice was very weak the first set and it seemed a lot of people were encouraging him inwardly to get some of the words out. Since i know all his lyrics it was no big deal for me...but wonder what its like for those who dont know his songs.

I wont go into the whole set list since its basically the same throughout the year. He did play a few surprises such as Tag Long, The WatchMan, ALberta Bound.

IYCRMM was great during the second set and his voice seemed a little stronger.

He joked a lot with the aud.
MEntioned that in the 70's he partied heavily at his house with Jerry Jeff Walker and Doug Kershaw the fiddle player while Britta was in Sweden with the two kids. ( ) heres a video of Doug if youve never seen him. Gord said JJW gave him the leather coat he wore on the Don Q cover, but said he didnt want the coat but Jerry tossed it into the elevator while Gord was in it..but Gord tossed it back out...Jerry back IN...Gord OUT and finally Jerry tossed it In as the doors closed...so Gord kept the coat.

Gord when introducing the band said 'Well you've heard of 'the Boss" well we have a Staw-Boss and introduced Rick.' Then mentioned Mike being really good because he has to play a lot of songs in different keys due to Gord playing with a capo.

He played one song saying 'I wrote his for my second wife after she left me for the second time"....it was "Tears of Loneliness"

Gord mentioned his birthday the other day and everyone clapped. He said it had been 35 years since he last played in Bozeman and that he liked to play in America as well as them doing about 15-days straight at that point and were almost headed back to Toronto after one more night in Montana.
He played one request of SDYS which was great.
A few other songs he cut out a verse or two to make them shorter and blended Spanish Moss with another song which slips my mind which it was.

It was a great show and glad he talked and joked with the people. Its great when he talks more which helps connect people I think and hope he does more of it.

Thanks Gord!!!
