Re: Did anyone go to the Casper, WY show?
I do too post! Just not that often.
Yeah I was there with Deb. Was supposed to go with one of my co-workers as well, but he had to cancel.
Weather was rain/snow mix all that day and night. But the roads themselves were OK.
Turnout was pretty low, less than when I saw him in the same venue in 1997 (my first GL show, in fact). Gord at one point said something about it being 12 years since he was there last, and started to speculate on if he'd be coming back.... then a firm "probably not!" - I'm sure it was a combination of the thought of if he'd still be touring in 12 more years plus the small attendance. He also asked if there was even a promoter for the show, or if they only just put an ad in the newspaper and called it good. ( I don't listen or watch local TV/radio so I'm not sure what kind of promotion there was. ) He did mention the fact that the info is out there on the internet and was appreciative of that fact.
As for the show, Gord was a little out of breath a couple of times, especially on Trilogy, and after that song mentioned it and apologized for it.
His playing, as well as the band's, was as good as ever.
