Asked in complete sincerity...
Why do so many WOMEN at this site apparently hate President Bush, considering that:
1) Bush and his troops are trying to liberate Iraq, which would mean new freedoms for the WOMEN of Iraq who, until now, were treated worse than dogs. (Also, a democratic Iraq could lead to further liberation for WOMEN throughout the Middle East.)
2) Bush and fellow Republicans do not seek to outlaw all abortions. They only wish to ban partial-birth abortions, which anyone should support--especially WOMEN who are, obviously, the nurturing, child-bearing sex.
3) Condoleezza Rice--a WOMAN--will likely be Bush's Secretary of State. How wonderful! And the best part is, this administration never makes a "big deal" about the gender and race of its staff. They merely choose the finest people available.
Thanks, in advance, for your opinions.

I'm sure this one will end up being another political arguement, but here it goes.
1. I don't hate Bush, but to be selfishly honest my son, his friends and my friends are more important to me than the Iraqi's. Women or no women. I hated the 'Nam war and I am not too happy about this one either. I think if it was about terrorists and Sept. 11 then we should have continued hunting down Osama and not split our troops. Also the honesty factor is a factor (I allow that most politicians are not honest, but when we have lost more than 1100 sons, fathers, brothers, and husbands it counts).
2. The abortion issue, that differs for everyone. I was more about the stem cell research, but I believe abortion is a decision that the child-bearing, nurturing female should make. Also, just because "women are the nurturing, child-bearing sex" does not mean that a woman isn't nurturing if she decides on having an abortion. Have you ever seen an unwanted child being beaten or starved to death. Just on the news last night a 16 month old and a 7 week old - starved to death BY MOM.
3. Thats great a woman will "be somebody" it should never make any difference to anyone Republicans or Democrats what sex or color a person is. Just the fact that it is thought of as a big deal shows how unrealistic men are about women.
Okay let the arrows fly. This is my opinion and I'm stickin' to it.

Question. Why do some people at this site support and adore Presdient Bush considering that:
1) He has taken this country from a trillion dollar + budget surplus to a record deficit, and created rampant unemployment in the process as well as the rapid and dangerous devaluation of the U.S. dollar.
2) He engaged in a war with Iraq knowing he was lying to the American people about the reasons for that war. There were no WMD's, no ties between Sadam and Ossama. He has admitted that himself. And as a result of his lies hundreds of U.S. service men and women have died, and a hundred thousand or more Iraqi's have died.
3) Under Bush your right to privacy have been serverly compromised. Your Constitution has been turned on it's ear. You're threatened on a regular basis with "terror threats", though notice if you will there have been NO terror threat announcements since the election.
Thanks in advance for your opinons.

First, I don't believe I said "I Will". I believe I said "I'm considering" or "I'm thinking about". But, if you can show me somewhere where I said "I will" by all means please do.
Secondly, if you had a brain anywhere in your body, you'd know one cannot legally immigrate over night. It's a process, and depending on which country you immigrate to, it can take months or longer, and it can be an expensive process too. In other words, it won't be happening tomorrow.
Third, and most importantly, where ever I do or don't go, I'll be taking my computer with me. I'll be posting on this site no matter where I live.
Why is it you can't be bothered to respond to the questions at hand? You've got a whole thread full of questions here, and you can't be bothered to respond to any of them. Do you have no answers? Are you just inordinately belligerent? Or do you just have nothing better to do that take shots at people you don't like while ignoring the REAL issues this country faces?

Violent, you stated that if Bush won you were going to move out of the US. Are you still going to, or were you just spouting off at the mouth again? If not, it appears we cannot take your words at face value and should not take them seriously.
Where do you stand with your previous statement?

I agree with Violet and Brink. Wholeheartedly. And, please, Watchman, let's be respectful of others. That's what makes this country great -- we allow opinions.

I'm just calling a spade a spade.
