Casino Concert

Hi I am new to this site, but read about it in the Toronto Sun. I have a small problem and wonder if anyone can help. My family has 4 tickets to Thursday's (January 26) show at the Fallsview Casino (Niagara Falls), but now my husband and son have to go to a hockey game in Brantford on Thursday. We are looking to swap a pair of Thursday night tickets for a pair of Friday night (January 27) tickets. Both our son and daugther (ages 12 and 11) are huge Gordon Lightfoot fans as are my husband and I. We had planned this as a surprise for the kids, but now they have to go to the hockey game as my husband is one of the coaches and our son is on the team. Does anyone know of someone with tickets who would be willing to swap.

Did you try calling the box office? Maybe they'd have some to swap with you. No guarantees, but it's worth a try.

Hi Cathy, I tried the box office but no luck, they are sold out. The only people who have tickets left are places on the internet that sell them for 3 times the value, in US funds and with services charges and shipping fees on top. So for two tickets to Fridays concert it would cost well over $300.00.

We just need to change two as my daughter has a basketball game on Friday. So her and I hope to go on Thurday and my husband and son on Friday. We would prefer to go all together but at least we would get to see him!

Well, my next suggestion would be to call EMP and explain the situation. Maybe they will trade some tickets.

Thanks, I called EMP. Unfortunatley they were not able to help. If the venue had been Massey Hall, they said they would have done, but the Casino is not involved with them. However they did suggest some other leads which I will follow up and hope one works out.

Another suggestion is to post this request on the newsgroup, alt.music.lightfoot. You can get to it by going to Google, selecting groups and typing in alt.music.lightfoot. Or, if you use Outlook Express, select newsgroups, run a search for alt.music.lightfoot and subscribe.
If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll post it for you.

Oh, I should have known that John, and it's much easier to explain than using Google or OE. Must have been that short term memory problem again.
