Default Niagara Falls frozen 2015

I was watching CNN news and there was a live report from the great White North by an incredulous reporter who had moved to Canada from Florida. It was mentioned that the area was flooded with visitors presumably not including refugees from Whitby and that visual images had gone viral, I found several recent videos on YouTube, and here are two sample still screenshot images from two of those videos

In another video the commentator refers to a mythical place she said was called Knee-a-gara, which is at least a change from the usual Niagra.
I also saw eight great photos on

Of the various videos I was impressed the most by the resolve of one Will Gadd whose overriding ambition was to undertake a
Historic Climb Up Frozen Niagara Falls.
To my mind, as one who considers climbing anything to be a generally ridiculous concept of being a "sport" this seemed to be as foolhardy an idea as the recent first free climb of the "Dawn Wall" of Yosemite's El Capitan

Anyway that is just my opinion. your mileage may vary. But here is Mr Gadd in action
