Nice one Char
You did not say where it came from so being the curious type I uploaded your picture (using the opened attachment's corfid URL) to Mr Google's remarkable "Search By Image" facility , whereupon I found that it was used as a link to an interview with the CBC's Peter Mansbridge as an episode in his One on One series that was aired just a week before dear Terry passed away
http://www.cbc.ca/player/News/TV+Sho...247175/?page=5
that is an interesting read and is complete with an 22 minute embedded video

Canadian music legend Gordon Lightfoot discusses his hit songs,

Mainly the Fitz of course
"I was told later that it's an old Irish song
and I borrowed a line from
Woodie Guthrie
"it's been good to know you"
also CRT how he sat and played it for the CBC's Bob Jarvis who promptly said "Gordon I'm impressed"
and "the ones that were never sung"??
he claimed to have cleared out "disposed of" or as he phrased it "destroyed" about 30 leaving the 220 he has recorded. Methinks 30 is rather a low value
other comments I noted
"the band do the the job they're assigned"
about the 4 mop topped black suited young men he encountered in England in 1963
"you know those guys looked look like beatles'
I also noticed an article with an encouraging headline at
http://thechronicleherald.ca/artslife/89161-lightfoot-determined-to-make-most-of-life-he-has-left
Lightfoot determined to make most of life he has left
that is an interesting read and is complete with a non playing embedded video
in that article he opened up on how his second marriage fell apart

It was included in the show but I don't when it was taken nor where. I do know that a year or more later he had the spot on the side of his nose removed - it was there at Massey 2008and gone in Nov.2009.. ...Pic is probably in 2008..not sure where but I recall seeing others of him with that jacket.. some awards show..
