What a wonderful Show!
Gordon came on right on time to thunderous applause. The house was not sold out, but it was pretty full. Gordon does not have the voice he once had. It is quite thin and he has to alter tunes from time to time. But, what really struck me is how well the band played. They really know how to make each song special. They are all such top notch musicians and each make their special contributions to the music. No one was trying to upstage the other and they all know it is Gordon the people came to see. This was the first time I had seen the band since Terry Clements died. I think the new guy (Carter Lancaster) is great. Not to take anything away from Terry, but he seems more animated than Terry. I sensed they were just totally enjoying themselves on stage. It was magical! Here is the setlist:
