I had not seen Lightfoot since about 1993 or something, in Seattle. Not sure I agree with Gord Fan that his voice was "solid", but the crowd was definitely in his corner the whole night. "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" was powerful. I think his voice got a little better as the night wore on. If he was getting tired by the end, it certainly didn't show --- if anything, he drew energy from the crowd and seemed to be enjoying himself, saying at one point, "We do love the work!". I posted a review on TicketMaster ("Ticket Bastard", as my friend Don calls them), which they deemed worthy of publication.
He did a fair number of his "newer" songs, which I thought were carefully selected and mostly worked well. I enjoyed "A Painter Passing Through" and some others. I've been a fan ever since I heard Ian & Sylvia do "Early Morning Rain". Have about 90 percent of his albums. One of my absolute favorites is "Tatoo", which nobody ever mentions.
