According to the New York Post, Gord attended the Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony with his fiancee. Not sure how reliable the source is . . . I do believe they misspelled the lady's name.

I spent time with Kim at the 4 shows I attended, never noticed a ring, she said nothing none of the band etc. mentioned an engagement. That means nothing tho. Lightfoot is very private. He had no time to do anything in NY other than rehearse, get ready, do the red carpet, perform and leave for Ottawa so there was no sight seeing..perhaps on his honeymoon. Perhaps he said fiancee because it sounds better at his age, than 'girlfriend'...

I will ask him when he calls.

Boy, I hope that's not true. I completely understand Gord's need for a woman in his life, but at this point, what's the use of going thru the whole engagement/marriage scenario. Gord would want a pre-nup, the fiancée would be offended that he would even ask and "Bob's your uncle" the whole thing's off and Gord is depressed. I'm hoping Gord's new woman in his life fully understands where he's been, what he's dealt with and just wants to have him in her life for whatever time they have. But, to add an argument to my own scenario, look at Neil Diamond. He just got married after being single since 1995, to a woman who's 42, and he's 71. So, who knows?
