Neil Young new album release set for Sept. 28

Neil Young's upcoming album has a title: Le Noise.

In a Facebook posting, the Toronto-born singer-songwriter says the solo record is complete and will be released Sept. 28.
The new album will eventually be available on CD, vinyl, iTunes and, eventually, Blu-ray.
The record was helmed by Quebec-born producer Daniel Lanois, who said in a recent interview that the new Young material was "fantastic."
"Le Noise" will also be released in the form of an iPhone and iPad application, Young said.
"The app will be free," he wrote in the Facebook post. "It gives you an interactive album cover. Forgive my use of the word 'album.' I am old school."
