First heard these folks on that GL tribute CD a few years back. Their version of "The way I feel" blew me away and I've been a fan ever since. Yesterday in the mail I received the schedule for The Napa Opera house and there listed were the Cowboy Junkies. Purchased me an October 8th ticket. Hooray for me!
Pick up their second album 'The Trinity Session' for a sampling of some earlier work. Highly acclaimed - recorded in 1987 at Toronto's 'Church of the Holy Trinity', just a stone's throw away from Massey Hall.

It's been a while hope you & Catrinka are doing ok. Hot weather over here... today feels like an oven. We had a great summer tho little too warm for me @ times but as long as there's no rain like last summer.
Yes indeed Margo Timmins has a pure voice. Probably the best Canadian female singer there is... for me anyway.
