Searching Amazon.com I found a book by
Alfrieda Gabiou
Does anyone know about this book, or I'm just late?

I'm waiting for Gord's autobiography for the definitive word, however, somehow I believe I'll be waiting for a very loooonnnnng time.

Not a chance from what Gord has often said
but the Gabiou book is pretty good as to my mind is the only alternative by Maynard Collins
Somewhere in my long travels through life I picked up the expression "of this parish" as a slightly comical adjectival phrase to apply to somebody belonging to a group being discussed
I rather hoped and anticipated that my comments would have been the cue for Yuri to find his old thread but I was wrong as he dismally failed to take the bait
I have now done the hard work for him so here is the link to the thread from 2008

Re: Book about GL?
Sorry John, I was busy ministering to the local flock of Gord disciples - playing them some Gord ('Sunday Concert') on this Easter Sunday.
Happy Easter/Passover/Weekend to all (or whatever is politically correct and unoffensive in these confusing days....)

Re: Book about GL?
Bib: The Canadian Railway Trilogy is a children's book due out in Sept. I found this at Indigo. Definitely something I will buy for if & when I have Grandkids!
Canadian Railroad Trilogy
| Hardcover
Gordon Lightfoot | Groundwood Books | September 18, 2010 This lavishly illustrated book brings Gordon Lightfoot's heart-stirring song to readers young and old. Commissioned by the CBC in 1967 to mark Canada's centennial year it eloquently describes the construction of the transcontinental railway -- "an iron road runnin' from the sea to the sea" -- a great feat of nation building that changed Canada forever. Award-winning illustrator Ian Wallace brings the song to visual life with his sweeping landscapes and evocative portrayals of the people who lived the building of the railroad. The book includes Gordon Lightfoot's music and lyrics, a brief history of the railroad and notes on the illustrations.
The Pony Man and I Wish You Good Spaces have also been made into books . http://www.lightfoot.ca/gltext.htm

Saw this book in a library - I think it was in High River, Alberta - in 2003. So I'm maybe late, too....
