a Bravo blurb says Sunday's premiere of this fine film includes a short interview with GL
i enjoyed the program and all the GL references and the Home from the Forest plus Pussywillows covers were interesting (i think he made a good choice going for opera) but i must have blinked and missed the GL interview...the BC song was terrific (very Roger Whitaker-ish, ya know, Canada Is)...i'll bet those two big boys got a lot of action during those young summers playing gigs at marinas...nice stylized guitar playing by Cockburn, as always... it reminds me that i don't play good... and Margison's voice reminds me that i don't have one
"Richard Margison: The Folk Singing Opera Star" profiles the accomplished life of one of opera's leading tenors as he returns to his folk signing roots. The biography features interviews with Margison and Gordon Lightfoot, and a collaboration with Bruce Cockburn.
That Cockburn fella can sure play a good guitar & Richard seems like such a nice man with a lot of voice. Saw bits & pieces of it last night, is it going to be shown on Bravo again? Would sure like to tape the whole thing.
woah, that Bravotv.com sched shows nothing but cruddy stuff (reality, reality, etc)...inside the actor's studio is cool, i'd like to see the conan one...i dig that idiot and will miss him
ok, let me know if you need the big opera guy on dvd also...i'll see if he fits
