our poetic Ron was passing through the province visiting cherished family and beloved friends a few years ago...i happened to be passing through that neck of the woods and had the pleasure of being serenaded, be it all too briefly...as i'm rarely without my shoecam, i captured a brief segment of this high noon, wham bam thank you jam...it was a fine tea
this will have to hold us over til Ron launches a youtube channel
Thanks for putting this out there JJ and it was a fun day indeed although I vaguely remember doing this one.
I recognize my friend Joe's old guitar though and we did quite a few tunes there that day.
I do remember though you doing "You'll Still Be Needing Me" and you did that one as well again on stage at the last pub jam session at McVeigh's and it was a "show stealer."
So JJ, we'll be drafting you for that one again this year so exercise those fingers and lube up those vocal chords. There'll be a microphone and a D18 ready for you.
It was a "pot luck day" and I knew JJ was on his way, but no idea he had camera package etc. in tow and I played the D chord instead of the proper F#minor going into the bridge which sounds awful. Totally ruined a good song to me.
But we had fun and that's what the "pot luck' thing is all about I guess.

That's understandable. I can't imagine trying to perform with jj manning the camera. I'd always be wondering......is he zooming in ?......is he zooming out ?
All in jest.
Very nice work by both of you. Easy on the ears, and eyes.
Very kind comments RM and thank you so much but when I look at JJ and see the hidden talent he possesses I'm quite comfortable taking a step back.
Hopefully at the pub jam we'll see him "step up" once again for "You'll still Be Needing Me" and if there's some way we can set up a keyboard, maybe "Same old Obsession."
He knows it well and we both have a sort of "best Gordon Lightfoot song today" thing about that one.
