Is this last Gordon Lightfoot hair style we'll see?
This is not to conjure up any thoughts to GL's longevity. I only bring up the many different hair styles or looks we have seen from GL..
And I bet this was a thread from times past. If so I humbly apologize.

This has been the look for some time now so I figure he's keeping it. It might be a bit shorter now and then..

He's got a good head of hair, regardless of the varying styles over the years. I count myself lucky too. My dad and 2 elder brothers were bald at a very young age, whereas I still have a reasonably full wad of fur. Mind you, if I ever lost the top spot where it's starting to thin, I'd just shave it all off!

I knew there was one style he hadn't tried. I think this is the way for him to go. Or...long and braided like Willie.

I like the way he wears it now. I like the longer version the best.
Yuri...lol...what are you saying? Maybe we should just be glad he still has hair?

Curly? I don't care much for that permed 'lil orphan annie' look. 'East of Midnight' looked stylish and sophisticated, but then again, I'm a guy and what do I know about men's coiffure.

Re: Is this last Gordon Lightfoot hair style we'll see?
Holy Phrenological Phrognosis Batman !
Just for S's and G's, I can't help but wonder what the Gord'ster would look like if he went for the Sundown cover Crank-to-start 4" High Permed curls as Yuri and I agree - I understand the low-maintenance appeal to himself after, shall we say long nights in those days partying, and ..'whatnot' - as we said from Pennsylvania-thu-Ohio-Thru-Indiana-Thru-Illinois-up and into where its used the most maybe in Wisconsin and Minne-sooda. I was an Ohioan early on and, when in doubt, adults said er..and 'whatnot', but I never could see perming my hair, but he was a star ! It's cool ! Who wants to spend an hour in a chair being 'coughed' :0 , anyway ? that's it isn't it - the word for cranking the hair up ?
Besides - you women feint over the GG1 front and back LP cover you say - that was 'permed' wasn't it ? I dunno- I'm with Yuri. Whatever the women like I s'pose - besides -(as Gord might have been thinking then)" when I SING 'Beautiful' and look at each woman in the front row - they are gonna turn to bubbling ooze - roiling down into the chair-springs anyway !" HA !
Yuri - can You do a ...'coughed' - present-day PERM like the Sundown cover on The Man ? - you know - special effects like the bald-head lol !
If it was me, and I let my hair get as long as Gord's is, I'd go for the pony-tail. Out here in Colorado - he77 thats even seen on Ranchers pullin' fence line, nothin girly about it. In Boulder -oops 'The Republic of' I forgot, (its a major college town with more PhD's waiting tables and flipping grease-burgers/sliders in fast-food !)- BeCAUSE, (shielding my head) they picked PhD's in a liberal art - which is great, they are just a bit harder to get a job in, 'cept for teaching proffesorially, with the requisite amount of scatter-brained/absent-mindedness all carefully designed to convey both sartorial and tonsourial insousiance -arrangement of grey-ing-hair standing out sideways and diagonally, Harris-tweedish clothing intentionally mismatched - all carefully designed to convey genius completely-absorbed by their latest hypothesis, glasses on top of their head saying 'where are my da88 glasses ? and 'forgot my Free-Tibetan hand-knit at 20,000 ft. boiled wool shrangma-head-covering and car-keys, wait...do I still own that '82 Etruscan (baby-****)-Gold Volvo ? where's that da88 thesis I was evaluating, publish, publish shmublish.
Dang I'm late do I have a class to teach now? oh he77 - I'll make a grad-student teach that - I'm good down to 1.7 semester/hours for Campus average in my tenure-track, and blame today's class missed on a post-doc starving on stipend- thats the ticket, there all just Nakamishi tape recorders the size of cigarettes from Malaysia in their seats anyway - never met -em in that class- spect I will at finals ! -now lets see, did I crack the
12th-century crypto'd-safe secret in the 'cover' parchments ? - I'll blame that on an UNDER-grad , er.. what bldg am I in ? Who am I ? its winter, and I have Berk's on with mimatched rag-wool socks!
I guess that was a rather uneven post,,,er... where is that Volvo.. ? Do I still own that ?...... where are my keys.... ?
