Default Arrangements - Choral

About one year ago Sir John rescued me from the desert of the Yahoo fan club group (actually a pseudo-club as it is aptly designed for a trash bin in cyberspace). Now I am finally posting my query here.

Does anyone know which - if any - choral arrangements are available for Gordon's music? I am presently seeking TTBB or TTB or TBB or TB or even quartette arrangements.

I attended one of Gordon's performances in Appleton, Wisconsin, USA, in March 2008 and was thrilled to finally hear him live

Thanks.

Novalis,

A very good question. I also have wondered about the same thing. Since the early 1980s it's hard to find any of Gordon's songs published in songsheet format, not to mention choral arrangements.

I know there has to be something out there. Case in point: The East York Choir sings a beautiful rendition of "Song for a Winter's Night." Hearing this choir sing one of Gord's most beautiful songs still sends chills down my spine.

They definitely did it from a special choral arrangement:

I wonder if this is something that would ever be available through an arrangement with Gord?

Thanks for the video.
I did find some of Gordon's music in arrangements here

If you have the extra cash, you can have one done here

musicnotes has always been helpful in a crunch (holiday time when sudden requests in suddenly demanded keys are made, lol)...what happened to the Transpose feature? used to be a great tool when the mind got lazy...first page also is free which is often all that's needed for most standard tunes

anyhow, good luck with your mission

I had once asked if any Lightfoot songs could lend themselves to operatic arrangements (suggesting a Message to the Wind) but i think the response well was dry on that one, also

Novalis (sounds like a drug company to me!!) I did tell you that you would get some reaction here , so well done trying again after zilch on your first attempt last March,
and I think that it was extremely rewarding to get Jimmy Jones to post the superb SFAWN youtube video, I see that the
East York Choir are Toronto based so which one is you singing Jimbo or were you merely the Key Grip (or camera operator)??

Absolutely correct David Sims who owns the fanclub yahoo group
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group...htfootfanclub/
Description
Welcome to the Yahoo Gordon Lightfoot fan club!!

This is another place to post messages and chat about the life and times and music of the legendary singer/songwriter!! Everyone welcome to join!! Come on in!!
Dave Sims in Kansas City, Missouri

Sadly David who was at one time an active newsgrouper and even had a half decent Lightfoot web site now long gone
is incommunicado and obviously couldn't care a fig about his group
I found that I replied to your query in October 2007 when you used the screenname Mr Mister on the Yahoo pornoclubsite and I told you in a message at:-
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group...b/message/1323
"Sorry mate but you are wasting your time asking this type of question
here or posting anything here come to that. The only people or objects
who actually visit or even "read" this group are robots or other
stoopid trolls as a quick scan of the mostly irrelevant and/or
irreverant spam messages that do get posted will surely prove. No do
yourself a favour and go to http://www.corfid.com then go to the
extremely relevant and vibrant Discussion Forums there are many good
guitatists there whom I am sure would be delighted to answer your
questions.
Just register and start a new topic/thread in the general discussion
forum"

Indeed 4 of the last 5 messages are from an obvious whore called Kala
who has chosen to "grace" the group with these puerile subjects
mature lady looking for older gentleman
Watch My BootyShake
lonely wife looking for more
before those her name was Barbara
in fact the only redeeming feature of the group's page is an advert for Lightfoot soap
About Lightfoot:

Lightfoot has been making fine British toiletries for men since 1890.

I got so fed up with the porn that like Torontonian Ray Murray I have removed my name from the member's list

oh, that was Tim, not I, who posted the choir performance in this and an earlier thread....I did live in EY for years and currently work pretty closeby but I wasn't part of this sweet sound...maybe I do some fancy post production work and make a Zelig-like appearance

but let's go with gaffer...I've no lighting skills but have always loved the term
