Default Kristofferson/Coolidge-MasseyHall-1973

a few pics of Kristofferson and Coolidge at Massey Hall - May 1973..
Rita Coolidge was doing the "Shania short shirt" thing way before Shania!
They were awesome together..
Lightfoot got up from the audience and sang BOBBY McGEE with Kris but I'd run out of FILM!! I was so happy to see the picture of the two of them in the SONGBOOK booklet-I'd never seen a picture from that concert and started to wonder if it had all been a dream!lol

Aww.. sweet dreams jj. Ha-ha, I remember a 'few days ago' when my younger sister and I would take some of our shirts that were too long and cut them shorter and hem them up and put a drawstring thru them so we could tie a bow nice and pretty. Didn't like those long shirts.

The first day I sang a song in a microphone I sang a Rita Coolidge song. Lover please, please come back, don't take a train rolling down the track...

they divorced decades ago..he was too friendly with Sarah Miles when they were shooting The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With The Sea back in 1976 and in a nude photo shoot for Playboy..it was quite something! They were married in 1973 and divorced in 1979. their daughter Casey was born in 74. i think casey was a newborn when i saw her parents at massey in may '73...she's an artist and looks like her mum:

Hi Pammy, It was back in '79 when I sang that, but it wasn't exactly out in public. I was at a lady's house that used to be in a band in New York. I had no idea what was going on in Kris & Rita's life. But there were times in my life when I wondered, What would Rita Coolidge do.
