Default It's Too Late, He Wins

Is there any where I can go to download or at least listen to the song "It's Too Late, He Wins". Disc 1 has long since disappeared, but having to pay $40 just for that one song is a bit harsh. But I really would like to hear it again.

Good thing she had it,or else you'd have had to buy "Early Lightfoot". I have the song on that and Songbook.

It's on 'Early Lightfoot' too? I've been meaning to get that one anyway. I thought it was on the CD that wasn't around any more. I haven't heard "Remember Me" in a long time, either.

Err Umm Douglas your confusion is understandable because
the first United Artists album is usually refered to as simply "Lightfoot!" (from the album title printed on its sleeve)
and may never have been issued as such in the UK but later (early 70's) it was issued as "Early Lightfoot" and I replaced a damaged Canadian copy of Lightfoot! with it
Later still in 1993 a UK company (BGO) Beat Goes On Records, as part of the world wide conspiracy to flood the market with as many reissues and mixes of the five United Artists albums as possible, issued a couple of CDs
one pairing DSMMN and BHOE the other is the one you have
(and because Lightfoot! most recently had its UK issue as "Early Lightfoot" that is the album cover BGO decided to feature on its double album CD
see:-
http://eil.com/shop/moreinfo.asp?catalogid=417851
for a picture and track list as you have already posted

This is therefore an entirely different "Early Lightfoot" as referenced in the Songbook track list which certainly cites AME #7000 (1971) as the source of both "(Remember Me) I'm the One" and "It's Too Late He Wins"
The story is relatively well known that Gord disapproved of this attempt to cash in on his new fame after IYCRMM became the surprise hit. So he and then general factotum Richard Harison set to work with an axe

anyway just what is on the AME album??
this composite that I saved from one of many ebay auctions reveals all

A look at the above suggested that AME is an acronym for American Metropolitan Enterprises Ltd and a suitable google revealed

When I go back to some of those old posts, some of the posts do not match the poster. Does this happen to anyone else. I brought up the one John referenced and it has duplicate posts all the way down, with a different poster on each.

Yes Deb same for me too
Although young Dumkin' aka Douglas aka now shut up... used a varietyof nom des plumes the names now appearing in that thread are ridiculous
Regarding the question of the duplication of messages
I think when Florian initially rearranged /imported the old topics from his original (UBB) forum set up to the new (VBB) forums a glitch meant that every message was duplicated, I guess busy young man that he is he then spent ages correcting some of the duplications and/or revising the program. But as you found there are still vestiges of old topics that have duplications. Another one such I have just seen at:-
http://www.corfid.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=13100
"I wonder is Gord working on any new CD's?"
that topic has one of those great JJ parodies:-
his priceless "Duets" CD artwork

As with Zoneranger's fictional single and album artwork that were mentioned by me in last night's successful chat room session,
the possible new GL cover art is a delight to see
John
P.S.
I personally do not think any of us should contact Florian to complain about this minor aberation, because basically the new forum set up is superb. "And so say all of us"
One thing I have just noticed though Deb when you replied to my posting your reply includes all of my original, I used to usually delete the extraneous bits but this time I selected the 'quote" button at the bottom of your reply instead of the " reply" button at the top
Lo and behold only your actual reply appears above. "Wunderbar" (as I believe they say in Austria.)
