oh yeah...I have a pic somewhere of him with them on..and then Gord would do his double-take and chuckle to himself..
loved it!

and he also donned a 'cone-head'..I have a pic of that too. I'll have to drag out the old albums...

Great , the reason I brought this up was the only time I got to meet a band member was in the 1980's after a Lightfoot concert at the Puyallup Fair here in Wash. St. Pee Wee was out picking up some equipment as we were walking out by the stage and after telling him how much we enjoyed the evening he threw the glasses to us. Needless to say , those were kept on our mantle for a few years.
We have lost them in a move since then. I wish I could find them. But it was a little dissapointing that the following 2 years PeeWee performed here he never replaced / or wore a set again during the Old Dan's song :'(
I felt we took away a bit of humorous tradition. Sorry........
