I'm curious if anyone out there owns any of the "two-fer" CD's by The Guess Who--there were four of them released in 2004 by BMG Canada, with each CD containing two Guess Who albums. The reason I ask is because I'm interested in getting them, but I've read that the sound quality on these CD's is awful. On amazon.com and other places there are scathing user reviews that basically say that the music is great but the mixes are terrible, as is the overall sound. I was shocked. Does anyone own these? Anyone heard them? Anyone heard about this problem? Is it that bad?
Thanks.

I don't have the CD's but I have all of their top 40 hits via casette & vinyl. (Including a 45 w/Picture sleeve of "Share The Land".

Yeah, I have a two-CD set called Track Record: The Guess Who Collection, which has all the hits (I think). All the big hits anyway! It's one of my favorite compilation albums. I like it so much that I've become interested in getting their regular albums. They're a pretty underrated band--very melodic and pretty versatile, too.

Hello Winter's Claw.

I own all of those CD's and yes, the sound leaves a lot to be desired but they aren't THAT bad. I haven't listened to them lately but the voids are filled as it's nice to have all those other albums on CD........for now. Ya know?

Hope this helps

Thanks GretschViking.
I might as well ask you the more important question now: what do you think of the music on the albums? I imagine you like The Guess Who pretty well if you have all those CD's. I really like The Guess Who from what I've heard. The non-hits that I know are spectacular--Sour Suite, Do You Miss Me Darlin', Guns Guns Guns, Glamour Boy, Those Show Biz Shoes, etc.
Thanks again.
