Earlier this morning Johnny Cash died. There was also someone else important who died.
I also heard that Johnny Cash had some problems of some sort. Someone fill me in!

Johnny Cash from complications of diabetes. He also had Parkinson's disease. He was 71.

John Ritter collapsed on the set of "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Daughter" while they were filming this season's 4th episode. He was rushed to a local hospital (literally across the street from the studio) but died in surgery. He had a dissecting aorta (the inner lining of his largest artery separated from the outer wall) - very rare and in acute cases, such as his, most often fatal. Aortic dissection is catastrophic, difficult to diagnosis in advance, even if you happen to be looking for it.

A bad 24 hours all around.

Thanks Auburn Annie. I didn't expect this topic to be in the main forum so I posted this when I saw nothing here. But when I found out it was in the GL forum I tried to delete this but it kept saying I needed to be a registered member to delete topics. I don't know whats up with the piece of crap.

Was it really necessary to put those exclamation points? The way it reads makes it look like you're excited or glad about it. I know you're not but you're over-stating the title. Anyway,I found out yesterday at work on my lunch hour watching TV. J. Cash was one of the 1st 8-track tapes I ever listened to. I'm not sure which album it was though. At least he can be with his wife now. /// I found out something else that morning too. Check my seperate thread.

He absolutely did not have Parkinson's. He was originally misdiagnosed with it but then found it was Autonomic Neuropathy. He had been and out of the hospital for pneumonia several times in the last few years as a result.

You're right, Watchman - I read that later. No Parkinson's.

Change:

Change is the whole process of life. Change is for the most part healthy, of course. We made a lot of mistakes in the sixties. We'd like to just erase that whole war from our history books. That would really be nice, except you can't forget the ones that died and every time the war is brought up, you think of something that brings it home. Maybe Vietnam has taught us a hard lesson to not be involved in foreign wars. Maybe that's the lesson we've learned. I hope we have. Then all those things that happened in the sixties were solidifying and strengthening for this country.
