Are there any Steely Dan fans on this site?
I tried to communicate with some on another site,i couldn't understand the English.
Strange i've been using the language for over forty years.
Maybe they were trying to sound like Steely Dan songs.
If anybodys tuning in,from that site,I'm only joking.
Get in touch.
Frank.

Frank V.,
This is incredibly ironic. I see your post while a homemade Steely Dan tape is playing on my stereo. 90% of the time you would hear GL eminating from my system, but for a change of pace, I dropped in a Steely Dan tape. Royal Scam is just ending and Sign in Stranger is up next. Wow!

Potter,
you've got taste!
I've had the new album a couple of weeks now.
I Haven't had a chance to play it.
There's a guitarest called Dean Parks he played that amazing guitar on Gords Salute album. He also played on Aja can you believe it!I'd like to have a five minute chat with him.
In all honesty scam is not my favourite album.Thrill,Countdown,P Logic and Aja are the four greats in my opinion.
I wonder what this new ones like?
Frank.

Although an old topic,I have to say my 2 fav's by S.D. are "Peg" and "Hey Nineteen".
I'd like to update the second song,"Me nineteen,in '87". Which I was!
I also like Donald Fagen's solo album from '82.

You got me -- Steely Dan was my FAVORITE band for years!!! I forgot about them after my taste drifted off to smooth jazz (due to stressful office -- I needed soothing music to calm my jangled nerves). But, yeah, Aja is my FAVORITE album of theirs. I need to get that on CD.

This may sound hard to believe Sheryl but, despite those 2 songs being my fav's,I only own 1 song by them. "Reeling In The Years". I have scores of tunes by other acts but somehow I have not gotten around to getting their songs,as well as the
"Aja" CD.
I like Fagen's,"I.G.Y. (What A Beutiful World)" I hear that on "smooth jazz" radio all the time.
