Hi Big J,
Many happy returns and all that. Hope you're busy with fun things and not just the old grind...

Hey JJ - you can come out. I cancelled the 'contract'. You're safe.
Hope you had a great birthday.

Ah, yes, number 53. My daughter took me to lunch, my husband took me to dinner, my son took the birthday cake back to his friends LOL.

hi and thanks, all...real nice of yas

same to you, aa...i didn't get taken to lunch or dinner BUT i have a leftover DQ cake in the freezer that nobody will be taking anywhere!

besides travelling about a bit and also having a periodically "hijacked browswer" (that's what the tech called my problem) i sorta been lending more time than $ in the local relief initiatives over the past few weeks...even Johnny Bower (everyone's hero ) was at the hardward store raising funds the other night...hey, is Gord gonna turn up at the Canada for Asia broadcast, Thursday? http://www.cbc.ca/story/arts/nationa...sia050107.html

he could do a duet with Ann Murray (or Celine? )

i wish all those poor children (and adults) had wings for a few minutes when that water hit...maybe some world bonding, healing and peace will come of this...maybe there is a God, or atleast a Santa...just 'n case, "Santa, I'm belatedly asking you to give us a Gord appearance on Thursday night"

cheers, friends...the best in '05 for all

I wondered if you'd gone into hiding for some unknown mis-deed!
I was supposed to go to a XMAS party at friends of my mum's but didn't - Johnnie Bower is a personal friend of the hosts and he was there with his wife.....he's a great guy.
No mention in any news I've heard that Gord will be on the show on Thursday....maybe a last minute add-on??
T'would be marvelous!!

ok, that is true...and i must note that your all CAPS headline topic is VERY sweet (everything you do is ) but NOT helping me keep low from the authorities, lol

(ps, can you edit the headline to include Annie? )

(ps2, jj is always in lowercase )

ps3) i was just thinking that i'll be able to take the bus for free by the time Harry graduates

Oops, better not call you "Big J" any more...maybe "Big Little j" or "too little j" ???

of course I could always go with just "jj" -- I'm not too swift with this nickname stuff

Hey Annie and jj, here's something from David Letterman's Top Ten list. Thought you might appreciate a "funny" on this, your (2nd?) 29th birthday!! (Or was it 39?)

Top Ten Good Things About Being A 57-Year-Old First Time Mother

10. Baby Screaming? Turn down the volume on your hearing aid.

9. Sweet 2-for-1 deal on strained peas.

8. Bottle of Lipitor makes great rattle.

7. Somebody drooled on the sofa? Blame it on baby!

6. Nothing will put your baby to sleep quicker than a bedtime story from AARP newsletter.

5. Don't have to worry about costly college tuition because you'll be dead.

4. Able to calm crying baby with soothing hum of your pacemaker.

3. 57? You're just a kid...provided you're a redwood tree or one of those giant turtles.

2. When child asks where babies come from, you can honestly say you don't remember.

1. People are already saying, "At least you're not 70 like Letterman."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, you wild and crazy two!!
