I'm new to the discussion group, and I've only been a member of another discussion group once before (Bruce Cockburn's to be exact). I LOVE Gordon Lightfoot's music; the username comes from the fact that lately for no particular reason that I can discern the song Your Love's Return (Song for Stephen Foster) has been on my mind constantly. That brings me to my first question: Does anyone know if Gordon has ever commented on this song? I'd love to know what he was thinking that inspired this song; it's very beautiful (pun not intended)! I am also dying to find out when (if ever) "Old Dan's Record's" will be released on CD. It is one of my personal favorites. By the way, although it's hard for me to pick favorites with Gordon's music I would hazard that my ten favorite Gord songs would be "If You Could Read My Mind", "Beautiful","Looking at the Rain", "Ordinary Man", "Lazy Morning", "Same Old Obsession", "Seven Island Suite", "Is There Anyone Home", "I'm Not Supposed To Care", and "Daylight Katy"(I tried getting it down to three, but I couldn't do it). My favorite Gord releases would be "If You Could Read My Mind", "Don Quixote", and "Old Dan's Record's" (again VERY hard to discriminate). I'm an incurable romantic, and Gord sets me off that way every single time
