This year on Frid. Nov.17 - Gord's 68th we'll be treated to yet another perfect night:

Thanks Char. If you're in the scanning mood, how about that late 70s-early 80s MacClean's interview?

On a point of order Madame Moderator
I fully realise what point you were trying to make (successfully) and that you had written Sunday November 17 on your old cutting, but on the Friday that the review refers to it was still only the 15th so Gord was as the article states still only 46
I checked Wayne's site and found another review there of the friday concert see
http://www.lightfoot.ca/851115r.htm
Noteworthy is that this was yet another concert with both Mike and Pee Wee in the orchestra
and a look at the 1985 tour schedule reveals that the Massey "season" that year began on Friday the 15th and ended on the following Saturday the 23rd a fantastic run of 9 concerts.
Boy were you lucky back then!!

P.S.
You can very simply find the day of the week for any date since 1752
such as your own birthday day by visiting http://www.kernow.notlong.com
(Which is a Cornish family site hence my use of "kernow" when making that special "notlong" forwarding link)

OK Char I will admit to misreading your posting the first time and thought you meant that the reviewers "special night" in 1985 was because it too was his birthday. But by the time I had finished my draft reply I saw I was wrong hence I carefully rewrote the beginning to say
"I fully realise what point you were trying to make".
By then I had also realised the noteworthiness of the 9 day run and that Mike and Pee Wee appeared together so I thought it
worth posting
I was in no way intending it as a criticism or insult
John
Sorry I spoke

Sir John,
you are such a nit-picker!
The review is the important thing!
Thanks,Char -- even tho it makes me sick as a pig that I am not going to be there for his 68th!

Isn't it great there is a calculator which helps people who struggle to know what day it is.

Maybe the eighties provided some of the best Lightfoot concerts a couple of the concerts I went to in the seventies were probably not his best. I remember a couple concerts he had way to much to drink
