I bought a copy of I Wish You Good Spaces (the book of Gord's songs as poetry) from an auction. It is also how I got ODR, Shadows, and Salute, the only albums I needed to complete my collection. I also could not resist this neat cardboard poster thing of him playing the guitar from the 70s. I was moving into a new place, it called for Gord on the walls....

oh yeah, and I have also bought a few magazines with Gord on the cover off Ebay. For the most part, though, a lot of the auctions I see bother me because they are things like stickers that, if he wanted to have, he would sell at his concerts. Also, people like to get his autograph and try to say "rare! Gordon Lightfoot autograph! Hard to come by!" Hmmm...unless you hang around after most concerts anyway. I guess it just bugs me that people are trying to cash in.

Well, it's wonderful to have Gord on my walls, of course. He gets a whole wall to himself, as he deserves (granted, it is a smaller wall, but still...). I have to admit that I think it's one of the cooler purchases I have made in general. He's playing the guitar in the pic., sometimes we play the guitar together. Really. (yeah, like I'm the only one on this site with an active imagination!).
