I imagine many of you have this concert either on VHS or DVD.

I stumbled across the DVD this weekend and boy, is the sound mix better than the VHS tape. You not only can hear Terry, but you can here him well. Both guitars are mixed better.

It is like a new concert video.

You can hear Terry well, because he's there, not here.

Hey "paddle",you just gave me cause to re-watch! :D I'll let you know about ya'scalp! LOL! :D

Mike,yes..I got mine 1 year & 1/2 ago for my birthday. Great show but I'm hoping he gets second shot at a new PBS special. One that doesn't look like everyone else's PBS concert.

Meaning, similar camera angles and back & forth shots of audience & performers like in other shows. I know this is PBS and not Mtv but they could at least try to be more original w/ the camera work.

Mike, I don't have the VHS version so I can't comment on your comparison other then to say that it sounds like DVD is the way to go if one has a choice when purchasing!

At one point, I had the VHS version. I noticed the audio problems right off, but assumed they had something to do with my dirty, worn out VCR.

The sound on the DVD version is much better.

I met Gordy at Clowes HALL, Indianapolis Indiana about 38 years ago .....he came outsiede after the concert and sat in the car with my 83 year old grandmother my date for the night! What a guy and the music has enabled me to raise afamily by singing his songs all over the U S ever since...They call me "the tideliner" down here...my respect for one of the greatest songwriters of oour time has my eternal gratitude and respect...I am going to see him again on the 13th of the month in Sarasota....I can't wait!

Char, aren't you going to the Sarasota concert, too?

I'm glad you're getting to see him again, Tom. But this time, don't wait another 38 years before you go to your next Lightfoot concert.

Cathy - I'll be there with bells on! I think I have front row seat-centre stage. I'll be with Lori, my sis, bro-in-law and cousin who all live in Florida!
Can't wait!
