Does anypne know anything about this very talented musician? I hear he is a man of mystery or perhaps there just isn't anything to know.

Thanks AA. Appreciate your response. Hope I'm not only one on the GL list who likes Terry's music!

No, ELizabeth, you're not the only one who likes Terry's music. I think he's terrific. He doesn't appear to be ego-driven like many other guitarists. His mellow, humble on stage persona melds perfectly with GL's, and his beautiful leads add great depth and feeling to the music. Terry's a joy to listen to. His contribution to the band cannot be calculated. I'm sure GL would agree.

I suspect that storm preparations are preventing the number one Terry fan around here from replying. I am of course thinkng of young Erica/sundreme in Florida
who used to extol rapturously about Terry's awesome hands!!

I haven't read the article yet, but I hope Terry will someday put out a CD of some origional/covers that he wants his fans to hear. Since Gordon doesn't have a website of his own, thru which to sell such a CD, distribution would be problematic. But it would be nice. I hope that Gord's "people" see that Gordonlightfoot.com is not currently being used, maybe they could buy it from Val and use it to it's full potential. One of the best examples of this is Ian Anderson's Jethrotull.com website. Not only are Ian's solo CD's available, but
CD's by members of his band are, such as his excellent lead guitarist, Martin Barre's solo CD. I think this would be a wonderful expansion of Gord's universe, but would also give his office people more to do..lol....

Have any of you heard Terry speak? He sounds like the guy from Oak Ridge Boys, you know the guy with the deeeeeep baritione voice on Elvira?
Talked with him once backstage and I was taken aback at how much of deep booming voice he has!

Thanks everyone for your replies. I agree with sundreme - Terry has awsome hands. Much as I admire Terry's work I don't want to take anything away from Red Shea, There is no-one who plays lead on CRT like Red. Miss him. I agree it would be great if Terry would cut his own CD and really let loose on his 'Country Gentleman'. He has a small but very loyal following here in Washington D.C.
