Crow, as in Sheryl ...

I just read this in a review of the Long Island show:

'After a rousing version of "Steve McQueen," the show shifted into its more intimate portion with the strings and organ highlighted on songs like "Redemption," "Wildflower," and a particularly good rendition of "Home" that included a brief surprise, an interpolation of Gordon Lightfoot's nugget "Sundown."' (Newsday, 8/31/2004)

Cool, huh?

I'm going to see her on September 18th. Anybody else going to see her during this tour?

My daughter Emily went to her show with John Mayer here in Hartford, but Mayer had to cancel right before it started. Rather than stay to watch Sheryl, she opted for the chance to use her tickets for when John Mayer reschedules as he is the one she wanted to see.
I think I read that too that she did Sundown. Pretty cool!

I knew there was a valid reason I liked Sheryl Crow (besides her obvious talent). Starting with her Steely Dan like,"All I Wanna Do" in 1994,I had her pegged as a fan of the 1970's.

Now that I know she likes Gordon Lightfoot, she's been moved up a few pegs for favorite female singers. Possibly top 10.
