Woo Hoo indeed!!!
I did a google for "spinart linus lightfoot" to see if there was anything useful
I'll say there is among the 26 results I found that there was apparently a Billboard article as long ago as March 13th at:- http://www.bananatech.com/twboard/messages/52288.htm.
I could read the google cached version but the actual page "cannot be displayed"
so it just possibly might have been withdrawn???
grrrrrr
Most of the article is a rehash/repeat of earlier stuff such as
"Linus Entertainment is servicing Canadian radio and video outlets with "Inspiration Lady" at the end of this month. In the States, the label has licensed three tracks to iTunes: "Inspiration Lady," "River of Light" and "Flying Blind.""
but I very nearly missed this near the end!!!
---------------------------------------------
"Lightfoot is determined that "Harmony" will not be his last album and that he
will perform again, perhaps as early as this fall.
Despite Canadian media reports to the contrary, his larynx was not damaged by
a tube inserted into his windpipe during surgery.
I have a rehearsal schedule planned, and I have a bunch of ideas for another
album," he says. "It all depends on how my health pans out over the next few
months. I may pick up a tour in the fall for 10 days and see how I do. The
voice is fine. I'll know by May or June if I'm going to keep on doing this or
not."

Further to my initial posting
I have now googled for
"a tour in the fall for 10 days "
and it produced two web pages
the non-opening "bananatech" one as I previously posted and also http://members2.boardhost.com/maclash/msg/1473.html
which seems to be the writer's own page he heads the article

Guys,
Help an old man with poor eyesight out would you? Where is the "there" you're talking about? I must have missed the mention of a specific venue.
Thanks,
Bill

Bill,
Do we really need a specific 'there'? I for one will be THERE wherever he chooses to perform.

Um, don't want to be a wet blanket here but before we get too excited, remember he DID say it would be May or June before they'd know (his doctors and he) whether or not he'd be able to perform. It's just 6 weeks since the surgery and we haven't heard aye, yes or no from the man himself. So, yeah, we all know he wants to perform and if it's humanly possible he will but let's not count our concerts until they're scheduled.

Annie,
I think our excitement is purely a form of positive thought. Its been a long drought but now we have the new CD and the very real possibility of some concerts. I think we can be forgiven for getting excited, dont you?
John has given us the best news since we heard of Gord's continuing recovery.
IMO that calls for excitement and positive thought!
Just my opinion, of course.

I'm with you, Bru! Nothing wrong with thinking positive! From Gord's on mouth he said he'd be back and who am I to doubt him. I may not be able to go wherever "there" is but enough people in our circle will. And after hearing all their accounts of the concert, I too will have felt I'd gone.

SilverHeels,
OK - I'm with you now. I don't care if it's a SRO ticket or the "last row of the balcony". I agree - if I can get tickets I will fly, drive or walk or all three. Whatever it takes, LOL. (but seriously)
