Oh, you put it mildly, Char. Okay. Here's what happened. My son, who works in the computer repair department at Circuit City, built a new computer for me. From day one, it was nothing but trouble. Sometimes it booted up, but most of the time it just sat there and looked stupid. Finally, after some words with tech support, and my son's suggestion that the motherboard was defective, they said, "Maybe the motherboard is defective. Send the motherboard back." So we did. About 10 days later, they called and informed me that the motherboard was defective. I said, "No shit. Isn't that what we told you 10 days ago?" Finally, they sent a new one, Matt installed it and the PC is working great now. Man! What a beast! It's got a 2.5 mhz processor and 1 gb of RAM, a step above the old beast, which searved me faithfully for almost 7 years.
I still haven't set up Outlook or Newsgroups, and a few other things, but basically, I'M BACK!
