My favorite song is :
Too Late for Prayin`,
It`s a slowly fantastic song and brings me to
make me thought about a lot of things.

Very good choice! That song conjurs up all sorts of images and pleasant memories. Nothing does this like a Lightfoot song.

Welcome to the forum Berni glad to see you took the trouble to register as a member here.
By doing so it is then possible to see that you are in Hamburg Germany. at the end of
the month I shall have the pleasure of meeting again another Lightfoot fan and resident of Hamburg one Danno Rosatti and his charming wife Nancy when a number of us will be travelling to Hamilton Ontario Canada to see Gord's triumphant return to the stage. Danno wil not have far to
travel though since his home is in Hamburg New York State. which I now know is
the actual home of the hamburger:-
the story of the invention of the hamburger
Hence my confusion and embarrassment when in 1963 as a poor university student travelling from Amsterdam to Copenhagen via Hamburg with two fellow poor students from France I recommended that in order to get a
cheap lunch we should try the Hamburg railway station buffet as a likely source. After confidently ordering "hamburgers' we were not best pleased to discover that we had ordered very expensive Hamburg Steaks!!!
Anyway are you a native German or a displaced North American??
By your probable surname in your email address it seems likely to be the the former so have you any ideas why Gord should be
so popular in Germany??I am thinking in particular of the three German Bear Family CDs which are reissues of the
first five GL United Artists albums:-
Bear Family Lighfoot CDs
and also the fact that several of the GL CDs I bought in England were German made
