I have for a long time admired the splendid CD database system offerred by

qwho i believe took over the earlier original cddb system, both sites very helpfully display the identification of a CD's track titles when you play your that CD in a cddb enabled CDD player such as MusicMatch (providing that is that some kind soul has already submitted that particular CD. Indeed I have submited a few
myself and was amused last year to find that whoever first submitted Harmony made a typo in Gord's name spelling it "Girdon" for all 11 tracks.. I corrected that and also the two erroneous titles attributed to the "Live in Montreaux/Read My Mind" album.
I have just visited:-
http://www.gfreedb.org
and searched for GL producing a listing on:-
http://www.freedb.org/freedb_search....=none&x=34&y=5
am,onmg theoe entries alongside the other legitimate albums is somebody's compilation (not Mine) of a made up cd entitled:-
"Gordon Lightfoot rare tracks"

the first (exciting looking) track is....sorry catmanron most likely a recording from the Calgary Olympics where I believe
Gord shared the honours with Ian Tyson but the recording is probably only a Tyson solo one
the second track
"Tears Are Not Enough"
was a "Pop song written in aid of Ethiopian famine relief efforts in 1985. It was recorded by the ad hoc Northern Lights,"
which included Gord
John Fowles
I mean no one no harm
