I really like the song, "Biscuit City," and I was wondering if it is a real place, or just a place in Gord's imagination? Anybody know?

Let's see what the town of "Biscuit City" is like:

-Water is of emerald
-Beach is white as snow
-Everyone has money(& no place to go)
-A land of milk & honey
-Makes you smile/happy
-Girls in bikinis
-Boys are nude
-Families welcome
-Quiet streets
-Squeeky clean

The song ends with "...I would stay in Biscuit City til' I die." So it can't be heaven, it must be a beautiful place of innocence in Gord's memory somewhere in Canada.

Let's go!

Sounds like Wasaga Beach or several others on Georgian Bay - not too far from Orillia. SOme big cottage/homes in the area, beautiful beaches, family oriented spot, CANADA, squeaky clean!

Hi MNM,
A place called "Biscuit City" might not exist but Gord has said he takes the countryside around Orillia and Georgian Bay as a backdrop for most of his songs having to do with places, landscapes etc. He just calls them something else!
LOL

even in Orillia and around Lake Couchiching there are some beautiful places on some pretty nice beaches. Gord grew up in a very pretty little town and the area of Ontario is gorgeous.
