Interesting clip.
Although his expressions when he's protesting the 70 million dollar gross claim are priceless + pretty humorous, his body language seems to say he is not 100% at ease. Also, somewhat evasive in his answers. Couldn't help but notice how he steered the conversation an entirely different route when asked if true he was out of "the phase" of writing music like his earlier work...
And interesting perspective of an intriguing personality. Thanks. I made sure to bookmark this one.

I like the one with Elwood Glover, when Mr. Glover pins the mike on him and says you shouldn't have dress for this show. Gord replies, "Well I just got out of bed." Some down here, that Ive shown it to, say he looks like he's got a hangover. I say maybe??

I agree that Gord does not appear to be 100% at ease in the interview. Did you notice how many time fidgets with those glasses on the desk? I think he was a bit nervous.
As far as his appearance, I think he looks great!
I do enjoy those old clips, Jesse-Joe. I had fun watching them.

He says he's not comfortable with reporters getting into his private life and is most uncomfortable in discussing money issues...70 million - oh my goodness that was a huge typo!
I think he still is a reticent participant in interviews but is more comfortable with the process after all these years.
Age, experience and being a legend affords him the respect he deserves!
lol
Pretty funny how Glover said back in 1975 that Lightfoot was a legend - he was only 37!!!....the Massey shows he speaks of were the first I ever attended!
my my my.....31 years later and he's STILL a legend - just bigger and better!!!

I have no memory of that first concert but I do remember seeing him 2 years earlier when he sang Bobby Magee with Kris Kristofferson at Massey...I have very very few memories of most of those concerts from all those years...I just took it for granted that he'd show up every year as if it was my god given right to walk into Massey and there he'd be...
sheesh....plus I was SO young.....I never knew I'd still be walking into Massey all these years later.....and there he'd still be!!
oh my.....I'm so grateful.
