I'm still around. I haven't been lurking or anything. Just other stuff having to take priority for a time.
LOL -- sometimes "real" life has this annoying habit of intruding on our fun stuff. It feels good to be missed, though.
Thanks for asking.

LAMS, so glad you're back. You're one of the main reason's I became a member and felt like I wasn't getting my money's worth with you gone. Now it feels like we have the full crew back!!
Do you prefer LAMS or lams? I know how particular you are about names used around here.
Being new, I spent more than one night going thru the archives 'till 03:00 and realized you are one of only two charter members still active here since conception (or inception), unless someone changed their "name". Wes is the other and was actually first to post, amongst those currently active. Quite an honor, eh?
Oh, I know about "real life" stuff as you mentioned and based on some of my "research" here I realize you are one of the toughest, most knowledgable and brightest lights on this Lightfoot site. Proud to be here with ya.
As for '54, I'm just guessing--don't mean to insult. Believe me, I'm older! So, welcome back--again!
"Even if you don't see the end, Of what lies beyond the bend" Stay loose, eh? (ooops!)

ALL RIGHT, YOU TWO!!!!!
You're BOTH off by SEVERAL YEARS. 50 has NOT raised its ugly head yet!
Wes, there's no excuse for YOU, but Shipwrecked, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe you were referring to the old TV show (which, yes, Wes, I DO remember) "Car 54, Where Are You."
And shipwrecked, thank you so much for your kind comments (unlike Wes wgi would NEVER say anything NICE about me -- LOL). You kind of made my day.
By the way, Wes, who does one WRITE younger? Just curious.
Stay loose, eh?

Oh, forgot to answer LAMS or lams -- it doesn't matter. It's just a shortcut to writing out loveandmaplesyrup all the time! -- lol.
I'm not particular about names. I know I got out of line a few times, but I'm going to be a lady from now on. Mild mannered and good tempered. I have been reprimanded and am repentent.
Stay loose, eh?

I WAS referring to the show you referred to, just guessing your YEAR, not age.
In any case, really glad you came back for a visit.

Hey, Shipwrecked, I'm here too. As Leslie says, life gets in the way sometimes....I can only read and post at work, so I have to get it all in when I can. Thanks for the mention - it's nice to be missed. Be assured that although I may not get to post, I always check in every day with you all. Not every OTTER day. LOL.(Love those otter puns. Keep 'em comin'.)

Lams, you mention you were born in '55. 1855 or 1955?
I remember Car 54....Gunther Tutie (oooh - oooh)and what was the character's name played by Ed Gwynne?
Lams, on your writing style, you write with a style and grace way beyond your years. You always write with a certain "texture", inspired by your youth and accented by your experience. The quality of your work is inspiring to all of us. You are an expert in your field and when you don't write for even a few days, you are missed.
