As I was helping my wife move some furniture around,I discovered a receptical that I had forgotten was there. I said,"this would be a good place to put one of those Glade plug ins." Gloria promptly replied "We don't need any Glade plug ins,We have a whole stack of Gord plug ins." I thought that was pretty cool.... Just thought I'd pass it along...

I don't get it. But I sincerely want to. What's a "Gord plug in"? --Humorless in L.A.

Since when is a CD called a plug-in? Am I that far out of the lingo loop?

I've never heard of a cd refered to as a plug-in either,She was just pointing out that when Gordon's music is flowing through the house, that's better than any plug-in air freshener you can find. Brink got it..

Ah-ha! Now it's all beginning to come together. I didn't make the connection between refreshing the air with a scent...and with music. (Nothing brings ruin to a joke like thorough analysis and study. Yes, siree.)

Hmmmmm. This looks like a good place for a stick-up! "Stick 'em up!"
What scent are you using in your home? "Bitter Green?" Later!

Maybe Knotty Pine or Wild Strawberries. I hope it's not Rainbow Trout.

It never fails to amaze me what marvellous things can be found on the internet
inspired by iron's tale of Gordon Lightfoot being an air freshener
I decided to "google" for lightfoot together with freshener
and was rewarded by 2 sites each depicting a most suitable soap product
1. http://www.scentier.com/lightfoot.html
http://www.scentier.com/lightfoot.html
Lightfoot's Pure Pine Soap
Since 1890
Made in England
2. http://www.bonsavon.com/merchant2/me...Code=010-00050
Lightfoot's Pure Pine Soap
not only that but it unearthed a great joke site with some nice
home-spun Canadian jokes at:-
http://home.swipnet.se/~w-72891/Cana...s/oldjoke.html
Do scroll down to:-
"On the 6th day" which is actually a variation of the old joke about when god created Scotland
the section on "cultural differences" is very apt
especially:-
"Americans: Drink weak, pissy-tasting beer.
Canadians: Drink strong, pissy-tasting beer.
Brits: Drink warm, beery-tasting piss.
Aussies: Drink anything with alcohol in it
and one section
being rude about Newfies and the "pepsis" in Quebec :-
"This is not politically correct, but c'est la vie..."
Also do not miss:-
"Canadian Complaints About Americans"
As presented on the 04/09/97 broadcast of LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN
especially:-
1. Not enough guys named "Gordie"
5. They call it American cheese, even though it was invented by Canadian superstar Gordon Lightfoot
8. Every time we mention the city "Regina," they won't stop giggling

Okay, this looks like one of Jim's inventions! Should have called it Lightfoot Bitter Green soap.

I am embarrased to say that, as a fervent
fan of Gord, I purchased that soap many years ago from "The Vermont Country Store" (I think) and displayed it on one of my bookshelves. It is still available. "Get some today!"

Disclaimer: No offense, mockery, sarcasm, irony, jealousy, etc. intended. I agree with the above quote. You can find just about anything that you can think of on the internet. However, I cannot find and EGR solenoid for my car anywhere. Lightfoot soap, no problem. A silly solenoid, no can do.

There's some kind of dietary supplement called "Sundown". Maybe they should advertise that with Gords song.
