Today and always I wish you everything wonderful I wish for my own family. You probably won't get a chance to read this but for my birthday present this year my son in Memphis called and when I picked up the phone, all I heard was you singing,,,,,,,Stacey said "What better present could we give you". I adored Elvis and met him several times but you had already stolen my heart.
From your first album which my sister brought to me in 1969, your concert in Charleston, SC in 1970 to this very morning, I want to thank you for all the happiness you have brought into my life.
"GOD BLESS YOU TODAY ON YOUR BIRTHDAY AND FOREVER."

Happy Birthday Gordon. Thanks.
Char
I saw A.F. (aengus finnan) on Sunday-he didn't sing "Lightfoot" though..I'm sure I would have got teary.. It was a great show with Terry Tufts and Jory Nash each doing Lightfoot songs individually and as a trio. They also did some of their own material. Heavenly.

Thanks for the welcome jim
Char, I'm very surprised AF didn't sing "Lightfoot"...now THAT'S a tribute if EVER I've heard one!
Was lucky enough to hear him sing it shortly after GL was hospitalized. He was at one of those "home concerts". It was completely unexpected, and I (as quietly as I could cuz I was in someone's parlor) completely lost it.
I have tix to see AF, JN and TT on Saturday night...as long as it doesn't snow. My fingers are crossed.

Well when you see my boys in Londonderry tell them I sent you! And give them hugs from me. Take lots of pics! I'll see them in January with Jenney at the Toronto shows.
lol
They are constantly amazed at where I show up and at other folks who show up for concerts who say I sent them....or who I have with me...
have a great time....I want to hear all about it/them....
