You've probably seen others use smilies before in email messages or other discussion board messages. Smilies are keyboard characters used to convey an emotion, such as a smile or a frown .

This discussion board automatically converts certain smilies to a graphical representation. For example, if you type &#58o in your message, it will automatically be converted to - a shameful face. The following smilies are currently supported:

&#58) smile
&#58( frown
&#58o embarrassment
&#58D big grin
&#59) wink

There are others too. Like the smiling face wearing sunglasses. There are some that even move because I've seen them. How do you post those??

DMD3,

When you post a message (or reply) in the left hand space next to the box you type your message Click on "Smilies Legend". All of them are explained therein. Hope that helps.

Personally, I think Watchman's been peeking at Mariah Carey B! O.H. & A.B.!

The only thing he's having that I'd like (to date of course) Is Mariah! See ya on the flipside of Sundown! (Yes! That's my new closing phrase,I'm bored with the old one.)

Did you know that Sundown was written about a woman who mysteriously grew a beard that kept hanging around the back porch? So what is the flipside?

What's the flipsie of Sundown? (The actual one not the 45rpm) How long have you lived on Earth? Just visiting right? That would be aaahhh....Sun-Up. Sun-Rise. Day-Break. Tony Orlando & Dawn. Okay, seriously. The flipside of the 45 is "Too Late For Prayin'". Besides,I know Watchman has a good sense of humor. Catch ya on the flipside of Sundown!
