You've probably seen others use smilies before in email messages or other discussion board messages. Smilies are keyboard characters used to convey an emotion, such as a smile or a frown .
This discussion board automatically converts certain smilies to a graphical representation. For example, if you type :o in your message, it will automatically be converted to - a shameful face. The following smilies are currently supported:
:) smile
:( frown
:o embarrassment
:D big grin
;) wink

There are others too. Like the smiling face wearing sunglasses. There are some that even move because I've seen them. How do you post those??

DMD3,
When you post a message (or reply) in the left hand space next to the box you type your message Click on "Smilies Legend". All of them are explained therein. Hope that helps.

The only thing he's having that I'd like (to date of course) Is Mariah! See ya on the flipside of Sundown! (Yes! That's my new closing phrase,I'm bored with the old one.)

Did you know that Sundown was written about a woman who mysteriously grew a beard that kept hanging around the back porch? So what is the flipside?
