Gordon Lightfoot
Last year Gordon Lightfoot nearly lost his life to a stomach ailment that landed him in the hospital for an extended period of time. Many feared that we would lose the Canadian musical icon forever — even as Lightfoot recovered, it was unclear if he would ever record again.
As it turns out, now that he’s feeling better, Lightfoot has not only decided to go back into the studio, but he’s also signed a new record contract. Lightfoot is now a part of the illustrious Linus Entertainment family, who also play home to the likes of Ron Sexsmith, The Canadian Brass and By Divine Right. The deal with Linus is worldwide in scope and the label will soon announce partners that will work with them and Lightfoot internationally.
It’s been quite a year for Lightfoot. After recovering from last year’s medical crisis, the legendary songwriter has stepped back into the public eye, mainly via a new tribute CD that came out in October. Beautiful: A Tribute To Gordon Lightfoot featured artists like The Tragically Hip, Blue Rodeo and Cowboy Junkies doing songs like "Black Day In July," "Sundown," "If You Could Read My Mind" and "The Way I Feel."
Lightfoot will release his first album with Linus next spring. We’ll let you know more details once they’re announced.

Here's the website:

It calls the new CD untitled, so maybe "Twenty" will have another name when it's released.
