Just out of couriosity, because it looks
so serene...anyone know where the back
photo of "Waiting for You" was taken...Gord's
property? And is he driving the car in the
inside photo?

i could be wrong, but i remember reading somewhere that the front & back photos of WFY were shot in place called Wolf Trap, Virginia. As for who's driving that nice old car, can't help you there.

That would be interesting if it were Wolf Trap. GL used to play there just about every year in the summer. It's in Northern Virgina, not far outside Wash., D.C. It is an outdoor venue. Now he makes it about once every two years or so. It's a great place for a GL concert if you every get the chance.

Whatever it is, he doesn't drive very fast-- he's got a light foot on the accelerator. (sorry)

He was driving a white Blazer at Massey, last convention.
I've heard he has an older Cadillac.

Well when he was here last August he had a Candy Apple red 2001 Monte Carlo. I recognized the licence plates from an old beat up Oldsmobile he had in 1990 when I first met him. Here in Ontario your plates follow you so that is how I knew.

Remember - the sunday concert album. I think on the inside cover there was a photo of gord - in hippie clothes, hey it was the 60's. Standing besides a rolls - royce.

I'm kind of tripped out over the photo of Gord on the back of the last Complete Greatest Hits CD...the one where he's walking down the railroad tracks which disappear into the mist and forest. It's a 'farewell' kind of photo, God forbid.

i don't think Gordon was walking away from anything in (circa) 1970. the impression i got from this photo was that he's walking along a railroad track, but in the horizon isee what appears to be a building which suggests city life, whereas the forest he's walking away from suggests the rural side of life. certainly, Gordon has written a lot about both sides.
