On the CD Harmony, when Gordon introduces the song, 'THE NO HOTEL,' he's got a great voice, the words are very well spoken. But right after he says , "Dr. David Suzuki, you hear a fan yelling something in Massey Hall. It sounds like 'Lightfoot rules,' but Im pretty certain that's not it.

As anyone caught, what it is that the fan is yelling? Just wondering...

At first I thought it might have been Charlene, :D but Im almost certain it's a man's voice.

nope - not me - I am quiet as a mouse....I may instigate a standing ovation now and then but that's all!
lol
I'll have to give it a listen and see who the culprit is.....
I do agree with the sentiment if that's what was yelled out!

Just listened...sounds like someone WAY up back yelling "YOU RULE!"
I don't know anyone back there!!! lol

I think that the person is saying "Hippies rule", in response to GL's comments about "tree-huggers".

I started an exact same topic about this awhile back, and pretty much got the same response. One of the two answers have got to be correct.

I wonder if it was someone on this site?

But they weren't yelling "YOU RULE". There were (at least) 3 syllables in whatever it was (s)he shouted out.

Probably not...

It's the same, with Sunday Concert, you must have notice it. When he does CRT, at one point the song comes to a quick stop, and somebody thinks the song is over and starts to clap. That was back in 1969, I wonder if that person is still alive today?

In the live verson of "Softly", at the beginning while the guitar is playing before he starts singing, if you listen closely, you can hear what sounds like a child laughing.

Actually it was someone from here yelling,"B. is the dude!" LOL! :D

Something I meant to mention last year but totally forgot to. The Tower Rec. where i bought Harmony closed it's doors last year in Jan.

Which i didn't discover until 5 months later. Now,it and it's adjoining structures have been demolished.

I shopped there from 1985 to 2004 and bought quite a significant amount of my music from there,Harmony being the second to last thing i bought there. The last? A Bill Withers cassette.

I've listen to Softly, and I cant say that I heard a child laughing. Is it at the beginning right before he sings the first word?

I will give it another listen w/ headphones.

In the meantime, you put some volume on your stereo, and listen to the very beginning of Canadian Railroad Trilogy, right before he starts playing, you will hear him say something that sounds like, "Surprising Ouu." On Sunday Concert...
