Dear Char, My daughter got it for me for Mother's day. She purchased it from Amazon.com for about $45. It is one of the best presents I have ever received.

I checked and it is 53.97. Is that US funds? Then there is shipping and taxes and exchange rate. That's 80.00 Can.+ 15% taxes = 92.00 plus shipping = about 97.00 Canadian. It was 85.00 + 15% tax = 98.00 at the store.
If it is canadian funds then that's great.
Let me know if it is US or Canadian!

A good place to search CDs is www.mysimon.com , a shopping search engine. I was just there and a site, www.getmusic.com, has Songbook for about 73.00CAN, including shipping. Other sites were fairly close, except Amazon. Today's rate is .67 lira (ooops!) CAN to 1.00 USD.

I personally got the local best price last summer of about $45 + 6% tax, as I recall, at a chain called MediaPlay. This week I saw Songbook at Circuit City for $50. Don't know if you have those stores up there.

Are you saying YOU'VE gone w/o Songbook for over a year or shopping for others? Whoever it is, you don't know what you're missing! The unreleased stuff!!! And it's all re-mastered. If you have the original Sundown CD for instance, compare the two discs. To me, it was like a '60s transistor radio v. a quality home or car system!

Thank you 'Rhino-phonic'!!

Hmm well I paid $100 Can for Songbook last November... the first box set " The Early Years" I suspect is not selling well and last I looked that box set has dropped in price to about $45 or so. You might get a few bucks off here and there but don't expect to escape shelling out for it. I don't make a habit of getting box sets but this one was definetly worth the money

Hi,

First of all, the layout of this page seems bugged when I open it on my screen. Does any one of you notice similar?

Secondly, I have a list of several online music shops on this website.

You can go there by clicking here.

Florian,
If "bugged" means slightly larger, yes, I'm experiencing it too. I'm having to finagle the scroll bars back and forth in order to read everything.

Char,
Best Buys is selling "Songbook" for about $51 USD here. Tell you what, if you like I can purchase it here and send it to you (or your sister) and in return we can call it even for you taking all the trouble for taping that TV special for me. Let me know.

Florian,

I'm pretty sure the dark blue is wider because of the lenghth of the topic. I think UBB automatically adjusts the width of the main area (the blue) when a title that long comes along--just my guess.

NOTHING personal or whatever, Char!!

Mary Ann---is yours THAT wide?--my blue area is about 2cm wider on each side (17" screen).
Maybe if the topic title could be edited and shortened that would fix that.

Hi shipwrecked00,

Unfortunately, the UBB script does not allow for a length limitation of the topic of a message. However, version 6.0 of this discussion board software is in the making, and I hope it will get rid of this problem.

Shipwrecked,

I don't know the distance of 2cm but the blue expands the width of my standard screen and I have to move the scroll bar about 1/4" either side. You may be right about the length of the title because none of the other threads seem any different.
