What other Canadian artists are your favorites? Before I answer, I'd like someone to list some major Canadian talent over the years because I may not know or remember. Today I was listening to some Bachman-Turner Overdrive...TCB soon!

Char, thanks for bringing backa pleasant memory of Buffy Ste. Marie. Her song "Till its time for me to go" was one of my favorites. I will have to try to hunt up some music of hers.

Other than Gordon Lightfoot, of course, Stan Rogers is one of my favorite Canadian artists.

Hi char,
I did't know there were *that* many famous Canadian artists.
I'm sure you fooled us and slipped in the names of the all star Canadian Hockey Team, but no one noticed yet...
Oh, and you missed Wayne Gretzky
-Florian
(who will soon put together a list of Austrian artists twice as long as Char's list)

Florian - I remembered about 100 more Canadians - but stopped myself. There's sports and acting stars I never got to! LOL
I can go on.......
LOL
Char
the "ALL STAR" hockey player that matters most to me is the guy my son is named after! Darryl Sittler (Toronto Maple Leafs) weren't you here during the 70's Florian?? Did you follow hockey?

How about Ian Tyson.
Gord and Ian are my all time favorite artist.
I much prefer Ian without Sylvia.
Valdy is wonderful too.
Neil Young is another good one.
I like Blue Rodeo too.
Oh, how about George Fox, I live right near his home town.

Wow, thanks Char for your list. I was talking to a friend at work today and he gave me a few more...
-Tragically Hip
-Skinny Puppy
-Ginger
-Nash the Slash
-Grapes of Wrath
-Philosopher Kings
-Shady Men from Shady Planet
Actually, I never heard of those bands. I guess my top 5 Canadians would be:
1.Pamela Anderson
2.Pamela Anderson
3.Pamela Anderson
4.Pamela Anderson
5.Pamela Anderson
Just kidding! From your list I like...
Paul Anka, Hank Snow, Shania Twain, Celion Dion, Guess Who, & BTO. I didn't know Mike Myers was Canadian. Yeah, baby! Myers and Jim Carrey are the funniest comedians alive today! Lots of talent in the Great White!!
